Could you Play 100 Holes of Golf in One Day? Think of how tired you feel after playing a round of golf. 18 holes can be draining, both physically and mentally. Now, imagine playing over five and a half rounds in a single day. 100 holes of golf. Could you do it? That is what PGA Professional Tom Yeager did on May 23 to help raise money for the Wounded Warriors Project and the South Florida Section PGA Foundation.

A Charitable Cause

Yeager, who is the head professional at the private Hobe Sound Golf Club in Hobe Sound, Florida, began his endeavor at 7 a.m. on his home course. He completed his mega-round in about ten hours. This is not the first time that Yeager has completed the noble journey, having done it a few times in years past.

Yeager initially had a fundraising goal of $3,0000 to help support the Wounded Warriors Project and the various charities supported by the South Florida Section PGA Foundation, including Junior Golf, Habitat for Humanity, Smiling for Life, and PGA Helping Out Patriots Everywhere. The Foundation impacts over 100 juniors on a weekly basis. Not only did he complete his round, but Yeager nearly doubled his fundraising goal!

100 Holes of Golf in One Day?

As summer rapidly approaches, do you think you’re physically ready to golf this season? There’s likely still some rust that needs to be removed from the hinges before you play a few rounds a week at the height of the season.

Par at Hobe Sound is a 72. If Yeager shot par for all 100 holes, he would have taken 400 swings on the day. If you can’t get out to play 100 holes, perhaps you can hit the driving range and take a few hundred swings yourself. With a $100 Westlake Range Card, you will receive $120 toward range ball purchases. With a deal like that, there’s no better time to hit the range and fine-tune your swing for the season.
